From East Coast to the Desert
Moving so far from home meant I had to learn how to make college feel like home. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to meet new people and experience life in new ways, something I believe is at the heart of the college experience.
Exploring the Valley has helped me grow into a more open and diverse person while also allowing me to find a sense of belonging here. Many students struggle with loneliness or homesickness, and the places featured on this site are ones I recommend to any ASU students who might be facing those same challenges.

Lastly, the city view in my dorm at Gordon Commons. Eating a good dessert and people watching is a way for me to decompress. I like to do this to take in all I've accomplished and what I want to work towards in my future. Picture was taken Nov. 23, 2025.
